White Electric Company was founded in 1983 and incorporated in 1984 as a Virginia Class A Electrical Contractor. We’re an open-shop commercial electrical contractor serving Virginia and North Carolina, focused on commercial construction and maintenance/service work.

Our history

Four decades, one shop

White Electric started in 1983 with one truck and one master electrician. Over four decades, the company grew into a full commercial electrical contractor, concentrating today on commercial new construction, renovations and service calls across Hampton Roads.

White Electric has been a Virginia State-approved electrical apprenticeship sponsor for over 25 years, training the next generation of electricians in Hampton Roads.

Our shop sits on Butternut Lane in Virginia Beach, which keeps crews close to the job and cuts the drive time you’d otherwise pay for. We take work throughout southeastern Virginia and, project by project, into northeastern North Carolina.
